Lady Paradox (Leicester, UK) brings honest, laid-back and soulful rhymes over a blend of jazzy hip-hop vibes. She has a passion for music and love of vinyl with inspiration drawn from a variety of artists and genres.
Her love of poetry began at a very young age and those skills were transferred to music when she started rhyming over beats at fifteen and collaborating with independent label – Main Rock Records.
As well as featuring on many local and overseas collaborations, Lady Paradox has released two albums with Hull-based producer Pat D – ‘Kind Of Peace’ (2007) and ‘Soulscapes & Jazz Breaks’ (2009). Both albums received international recognition with support from Tokyo-based label ‘P-vine Records’ and a number one spot in the Japanese hip-hop iTunes chart.
Recent collaboration have involved Broken Orchestra, Paris-based Naiad and performances with local musicians. Her latest work is ‘The Beat Goes On’ with Gadget, which was released in June 2015, and this is available on Bandcamp.
